Student ambassadors
College of Health Solutions peer leaders and student ambassadors are current undergraduate students who help prospective and incoming students find the right major, learn about ASU and College of Health Solutions resources, and share their experiences as students. They support events on and off campus and are involved in multiple ASU and Health Solutions organizations. Their ability to share their knowledge and experiences have helped incoming students to find their passions in health and their place at the College of Health Solutions.

I am a current third year student at the Downtown Phoenix campus ready to help you with any questions you have! I’m also the first in my family to study in the United States.
I am the co-president of the Kinesiology Honors Society — which gives students in movement science majors the opportunity to meet professionals in the field and make connections with peers. I have also been a Phoenix Children’s Hospital volunteer.
I am a proud fish parent to a betta fish called Cosmo Alpha Ocean. As a hobby, I am part of the Blaze Radio Music Department as a DJ playing music on air for all to hear on blazeradioonline.com and throughout campus!

Major: Health sciences
Hometown: Tracy, CA
Expected graduation: Spring 2027
Hello, my name is Vendela. I am a second year student majoring in health sciences with the College of Health Solutions at the ASU West Valley campus. I hope students can reach out to me as a helpful resource in giving pre-health tips, and a person who can give advice to in- or out-of-state students going to ASU. Fun fact: I have been through 3 types of schooling: private, public and independent study.
I am involved in the Barrett Honors College. The second organization I am with is HOSA at ASU West as the vice president. Finally, I am a member of the AZNA Dance organization at the ASU Tempe campus.

Mikayla Lopez
Year: Junior
Major: Medical studies
Hometown: Oakley, California
Expected graduation: May 2026
I am a third year student here at ASU with the College of Health Solutions majoring in medical studies. I am also on a pre-physician assistant track. I can answer any questions about what it takes to become a PA using pre-health and resources that are available here at ASU.
I’m currently in a couple of organizations. I am a part of the Health Preparatory Club; I was also one of the event coordinators. I am also in the Pre-Physician Assistant Club. The third organization I am in is Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority Inc. and hold the position of president for the 2024-25 school year.
As a fun fact — I have six sisters and there are two sets of twins within the seven of us.
